# Create an event at your venue
Add a programme event, choose its visibility, and decide how guests can attend.

Open [Events](/marketplace/events) and create a new event. You can plan a venue night before you book an entertainer. Add its name, schedule and event details, then choose visibility and attendance in the event editor.

An event and a booking serve different purposes: the event describes the programme shown to guests; the booking holds the private conversation, proposals and agreement with an entertainer. Confirming a booking does not create an event. The booking can remain separate from Events. You can add entertainment to an event through the event's **Find talent** flow.

Review the event before publishing it. Visibility can be draft, private, unlisted or public. Paid tickets require the selected seller's payment connection to be ready; free RSVPs and external ticket links follow different setup paths. See [tickets and RSVPs](/support/tickets-rsvps/tickets-and-rsvps).

For an event at another venue, choose **Custom address** on the Location tab and select its Google result. If the venue has an eligible public gigiii profile, the editor uses its public description, links and image choices. Otherwise, it suggests details from the place's website when available. Review the venue name, description and links; you can edit them for this event. The first suggested image is selected by default. Choose another image by clicking it; a ring and check mark identify your selection. When you save the event, only that image is saved and shown for the venue; the other suggestions are not kept. You can also remove the venue image. These editor suggestions use an eligible public venue page. On the event page, an attached approved marketplace venue or talent supplies its description, photos, website and social links independently of whether it has a public gigiii landing page. If that landing page is available, **Profile** appears first in the entity’s links. Private contacts and documents remain private. If suggestions cannot be loaded, the selected address still works and you can enter the details yourself.

If you connect an Event Channel under [Integrations](/business/connections), manage that event’s channel in **Settings**. Linked provider status and channel settings are in **Edit → Settings**. Events without a channel connection show no channel controls.

To reuse an upcoming or past event, open **Edit** and select **Duplicate Event**. The copy opens as a new draft with its own ID and **[copy]** at the end of its title. Review its details, set a new date and time, and save before publishing. Bookings, agreements, requests, orders, attendees and sales stay with the original event. If the original had a confirmed entertainer, the copy shows their profile under Bookings. After setting the date, choose **Send request** to start a new booking.

**Duplicate Event** copies only the selected event’s details into a standalone draft. Other dates and the repeat schedule stay with the original. Set a new date in **Schedule**; you can then make the copy repeat if needed.

Guests see one series page with upcoming dates highlighted in a calendar beside the RSVP or ticket action. They can browse earlier and later months; months without series dates say so. Selecting a date refreshes the page with that date's details and admission options. A shared link can open with a particular date selected; each RSVP or ticket purchase applies to that date only. Past dates remain available through their links, and a series with no upcoming dates shows that state. The event page also shows a carousel of the host's upcoming public events below the event details. Use the dots beneath the carousel to browse its pages.

To invite entertainer offers for this event, see [allow offers for a venue event](/support/venues/allow-offers-for-a-venue-event).

Under **Edit → Lineup**, **External performers** lets you list acts who are not booked through gigiii. Save a new event as a draft first, then add each performer’s name and optional image, short bio and public link. Drop an image onto the image field or click to browse; the uploaded image appears as a preview. Each performer has a separate outlined card. **Remove performer** is on the left and **Save performers** on the right. Save applies the full external-performer list to the current date, including removals. Linked gigiii performers remain unchanged. Empty performer sections are hidden on the public page. External entries do not confirm a gigiii booking or endorsement; only publish information and images you have permission to use.

## Manage your shows

Events has **Upcoming**, **Past** and **Drafts** views. Drafts includes undated events. Use **Show cancelled** to include cancelled shows. Each event card shows its own admission counts.

An event moves to Past after its end time, or its start time when no end is set. Shows still running remain in Upcoming.

Open an event to use **Guests** or the editor sections:

- **Guests** shows the list for the event’s configured admission mode: RSVP guests or ticket buyers. Search the list, download CSV where supported and manage eligible native refunds from the guest record. Native check-in remains in the gigiii mobile app; Pretix uses pretixSCAN.
- The editor sections contain event details, publication, bookings and recurring-event scope controls. Past events retain their records and duplication actions; their content remains locked.

**Duplicate Event** and **View event page** appear in the event header when applicable.

Confirmed RSVP places exclude pending and cancelled registrations and places already migrated to tickets. Valid gigiii tickets include free, paid and already used tickets, excluding refunded or void tickets. Pretix quantities remain separate provider snapshots. These are admission units, not unique people. Cancelling an event does not prove all refunds are complete.

Open **Analytics** and select your event to review its authorized report when the feature is enabled. See [Understand event performance](/support/bookings-events/understand-event-performance) for measurement and privacy limits.
